Dr. Suzanne Tang
Founder, Naturopathic Doctor, Licensed Acupuncturist, Craniosacral Therapist & Yoga Instructor
Dr. Tang graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1997, where she was inspired to learn a natural, safe, and science-based approach to health and wellness. This inspiration led her to the leading, accredited academic and research center for natural medicine, Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Here she earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2003. With a passion for learning and desire to grow, Dr. Tang has supplemented her education with certifications in craniosacral therapy, yoga instruction, reiki and bio-identical hormone therapy.
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE IN FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE & WOMEN’S HEALTH
With over 20 years of experience in functional medicine and women’s health, Dr. Tang is passionate about offering compassionate and comprehensive wellness care by using the latest standards in diagnostic examination and laboratory testing to identify root causes of illnesses and offering natural and effective treatment recommendations to transform your health and wellness. She has practiced at several integrative health clinics throughout Orange County, CA including UC Irvine Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine and co-founded Coastal Acupuncture & Natural Health Center in 2009 as well as Awakened Heath to offer custom herbal formulations and wellness retreats and workshops. In 2022, Dr. Tang started her own integrative wellness center, Inspire Natural Wellness to further elevate her community’s health and wellness.
She has been a well-known community speaker of natural medicine for the American Heart Association and corporations in Orange County, CA. Dr. Tang has been a contributing writer to many health magazines and newsletters and has been featured on the ABC Channel 7 News for her expertise on natural medicine and health. When she isn’t educating and inspiring wellness members, she walks the talk and creates balance in her life by spending quality time with her husband, two teenagers and pups, eating nourishing whole foods, dancing, hiking outdoors, reading, meditating and practicing yoga.

Dr. Tang spends time actively listening to your needs and health concerns and identifies potential underlying causes of illness by extensively reviewing your diet, sleep quality, stress and energy levels, exercise, lifestyle, occupational and environmental exposures, past and present medical history, and family history. She uses functional laboratory testing to evaluate digestive function, food intolerances, mold toxicity, neurotransmitters, hormone, thyroid and adrenal balance, metabolic and cardiovascular health and nutritional status. Recognizing that each individual is unique, Dr. Tang creates customized and individualized programs and treatment plans utilizing numerous natural therapies. She has had extensive training in Dietary and Lifestyle Counseling, Nutrient Therapy, Western and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy, Yoga and Craniosacral Therapy, effective therapies that she has used to address a myriad of conditions.
She truly enjoys working with the entire family to support optimal health and wellness for every member of the family.
